A Cherokee Homecoming 2008 Celebrating the rich heritage which is the Cherokee nations: Reunited for the first time in the joy of music, ceremony, food, and education for all people of Native American heritage or those seeking knowledge. A once in a lifetime invitation to experience a heritage older than time. |
This event is to Honor the Cherokee Nations.
The people that walked the deadly Trail of Tears,
Almost 170 years ago, are our common ancestors.
We the Mixed Bloods and the People that walk this path today
Wish to invite our Brothers and Sisters back to the land of our Ancestors.
Back Seven Generations,
When our Ancestors were one and the same as theirs.
Come back to New Echota and celebrate that our blood still lives.
